We imported this Land Rover from the United Kingdom.

 

Notes from the previous owner about the car:

 

- Rebuilt in 2018 by "John The Landyman" (a well regarded specialist) out of Sussex, UK (he said it was the best all around Land Rover he has ever owned)

 

- Paint respray in "Fawn" color in 2018

 

- fully reconditioned 5-bearing diesel out of a Series 3 installed in 2020, this adds better reliability and fuel economy (originally the car came with a gasoline engine), will do 60 - 70MPH on the highway while returning 25-30 MPG

 

- Tires only have 3,000 miles on them

 

- a new clutch was installed when the engine was replaced

 

- brake slave cylinders, brake pads, shocks and radiator were replaced around the same time as the clutch and engine change

 

- new canvas top fitted in 2018

 

- previous owner had owned the Land Rover since 2021

 

- the vehicle was always stored in a carport with the previous owner and had covered less than 3,000 miles during his ownership

 

- the underside has been treated with beeswax and phosphoric acid for protection

 

- first registered in the UK in 1959

 

- push button start installed and fires up immediately and idles as it should

 

- windows and doors were replaced in 2018

 

- new outriggers and a new rear crossmember in 2018

 

- the Fawn color that it has been painted was a rare option originally with it only being offered on 1959 export vehicles

 

- front windshield trim and soft top rain gutters were regalvanised in 2018

 

- door and window seals were replaced in 2018

 

- comes with a stack of service records, old MOT's and a full write up on the car from a previous owner
