We purchased this Lotus from a Lotus Elise enthusiast (has owed four Elise S1's) from The Cotswolds, England.

 

Notes from the previous owner:

 

- first registered in 1997, it is an early Series 1 car and has the "green glue", which means it is the lightest iteration of the chassis for this model.

 

- it comes with the aluminum trunk lid, instead of fiberglass and has the alloy wheel uprights along with the MMC brake discs and brake pads.

 

- comes equipped with Elise 111S wheels and 111S front grille.

 

- the car recently had new Yokohama AD08RS tires installed at a cost of $1,000.

 

- recently replaced the plastic clutch line with a braided one, not an easy job

 

- new drop links.

 

- new stainless steel exhaust and new Janspeed stainless steel supersport back box, which is the lightest version and considered the best sound.

 

- new battery installed.

- replaced hazard/ light switches

 

- head gasket has been replaced in the past

 

- two small tears in the top (could be repaired easily) as can be seen in the photos on the sides where it attaches to the roll bars, also missing some of the button snaps for the top.

The vehicles comes with the original owners manual and original Lotus maintenance booklets that are full of dealer stamps from when it had been serviced by the Lotus dealer. It also comes with a massive stack of service records as can be seen in the photographs. There are over 9,000 Great British Pounds worth of invoices (that converts to over $12,000 US dollars) for services. This has been a very well serviced vehicle throughout its life and it shows! The Lotus has its original K-Series engine.
